Investment | Texturing machines for the production of stretch fabrics

MEHLER PIN recently acquired texturing machines for the Portuguese fabric production plant. Textured yarns produced with the proven PIN magnetic spindle system are used in applications that require maximum strength and elasticity.

With the purchase of the texturing machines, the entire production chain for highly stretchable technical fabrics is now completely vertically integrated in-house. This enables the complete in-house production of stretch fabrics – from texturing, twisting, warping, weaving, tumbling and finishing through to final inspection and laboratory testing.
Stretch fabrics are tailor-made fabrics with high stretchability in the weft direction (optional: also in the warp direction), which are mainly used in timing belts and industrial hoses.

The complete mapping of the entire stretch fabric value chain in-house strengthens MEHLER’s independence and ensures complete transparency and flexibility in production. MEHLER’s customers benefit from additional flexibility with regard to possible technical adaptations and even faster response times in development and service.

The first highly elastic stretch fabric bales produced in-house will roll off the production line in the second half of 2021.
